Biographical Information

I have both my J.D. and a Masters degree in Criminal Law and have practised for over 33 years throughout Ontario as well as in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland in a number of high profile cases but always recognizing that every case I represent is important.

In addition, I have earned the certification of Specialist in Criminal Law by the Law Society of Upper Canada, granted to fewer than fifty Toronto criminal counsel.

Consistent with my dedication to the professional legal community, I have held various positions at legal organizations and associations including director, Criminal Lawyers’ Association (Ontario), instructor, Criminal Procedure, Law Society (Ontario) Bar Admission, Canada Bar Association (Ontario), Advocates’ Society, Federation of Law Societies.

Part of my defence practise is based on referrals from large law firms and associations such as the Ontario Principals’ Council who represent the interests of principals and vice-principals in Ontario’s publicly funded school system.

Finally, in important and appropriate cases, I will represent individuals and corporations on a pro bono basis for worthy causes requiring professional legal representation.
